I found a 1998 Dixon ZTR lawn mower in very good condition with new cones. Is $800 a fair price to pay it?



According to my blue book, that is good for the 3014-36, 3014-42. A little high for the 3303 and the 3304. A steal for the 4423,4424,4425 and the 4426.

Best and fastest lawn mower to cut 3 acres?

Is it possible to get a ZTR mower for under 5k to cut 3 acres in less than an hour and a half?

If so which ones?
Thanks for the replies thus far - if it helps I am located in NY and want to make sure I can get something for less than 5k. I am buying a home with 2.75 acres, the current homeowner has a regular tractor and claims it takes them 4 hours to cut, I need to do it in an hour to an hour and a half and want to make sure that is doable.

It's been awhile, but I used a Snapper zero degree radius mower.
It's the one with the joystick steering mechanism. It took one hour to mow 2.5 acres, and the machine cost about 2800 in 1998.

It was a well built machine and it kept its value a long time.

just like in wire or shotguns. Think of it as a fraction of an inch. 1/10th is greater then 1/12th
