What do you think of Troy-Bilt push lawn mowers?

I'm specifically looking at this steel deck model with a Honda motor:

If that is the model you are looking at, try this if you go look at it again. Put this model next to a model that has regular wheels next to it. Then push down on the handle, lifting the front wheels off the ground. Then do it to the other mower. I'll let that test speak for itself.

My recommendation would be a Toro Recycler. They come with a 2 year Guaranteed to Start warranty. and have a lot of the features in the mower you were looking at.

How do I drain oil from Troy Bilt lawn mower?

It has a Briggs & Stratton 120000 model series motor

Remove square plug under the deck. Be sure to disconnect the spark-plug wire so the thing don't start if you have to move the blade.

troy bilt lawn mower won't start?

it has new sparkplugs and all the obvious things. it was an automatic choke, but it broke and was too expensive to buy parts for, so they put in a manual choke. i put it on choke to turn on, then pull it away from choke as i am supposed to after it starts. after 3 or 4 days it stops working. i hear a put-put sound coming out of it when i try to start and a little greyish smoke. carb. was just cleaned.

Dabs sweety clean the plug and get some fresh gas in the mower. Pull out the choke and when it hits push in the chock half way, when it boggs push the choke all the way in.when the motor gets up to snuff warmth wize then the air/gas mix will not need to be as rich, by pushing in the choke you open up the throat of the carb and allow for more air to mix with the gas vapor.

my tranmission pully keeps coming off my troy bilt lawn mower. whats causing it?

i have all new belts

If the pulley is attached with a bolt or nut, replace it right away. That includes any flat or lock washers. If you don't see any kind of washers, then they were lost the first time you lost pulley.
And spend a few extra bucks on a small tube of RED Loctite, red is the "permanent" version.
Check for worn spots and "wallowing" that will cause a chronic problem where the pulley is supposed to stay.

  • Troy-Bilt Lithium Battery String Trimmer: A Review — Cold Climate ...

It happens every year. Because of rainy weather, equipment breakdown, or other cause, the lawn doesn’t get cut when it should. And when it does finally get cut, the one operating the mower isn’t quite sure where the lawn ends and the flower bed begins, and so he doesn’t cut quite as close to the edge as he should. Thus, the flower beds develop an eyelash fringe of longer grass where they meet the lawn.

So, when Troy-Bilt asked me if I’d like to try this trimmer, I thought, “This trimmer sounds like something I could handle. Not heavy like a super-duper heavy-duty gasoline-powered trimmer (which we already have), and no cord trailing behind me, getting tangled up in who knows what. I, myself, could eliminate the eyelash edges, without spending hours cutting a new edge on all those beds. Yes, I want to test that trimmer!”

I am one of those people who thing. How else can you be sure you are putting it together correctly? Furthermore, I had never operated a string trimmer before in my life. (I know, you non-manual-readers are thinking, “How hard can it be?”) And so, for it to be a fair review of Troy-Bilt’s trimmer, I had to read up on the trimmer’s operation. Much to my surprise, this turned out to be my greatest challenge.
