So far, all I've seen are these little 15"-20" rechargeable push mowers (the battery-powered ones, not the corded ones), so I was wondering if there are any riding lawn mowers with batteries that can be recharged (I know there are rechargeable forklifts, so I would think there would be a rechargeable riding mower somewhere). If there are any of these, where can I find them and how much do they cost?

In the six years in the OPE (Outdoor Power Equipment) industry, I have yet to see a electric riding mower. I do know that Wheel Horse sold one back in the late 70's But they did not sell well and were hard to maintain. The biggest problem is the cost of the batteries. I hope you can find what you are looking for.

Just got this for mowing the yard.

The manufacturer has a 2 yrs warranty for major components (engine, transmission), and 90 days for everything else. The retailer sells an extended warranty of 2 additional years (i.e., 4 yrs in total) for 10% of the price.

A riding lawn mower is one of the easiest broken down household items?

I've never seen an extended warranty that was worth the price. Any defects are going to break within the first 90 days. After that, it's up to you to keep up with your regular maintenance. If you do, the parts that are covered by the warranty probably won't break. The parts that do need to be replaced are the parts subject to normal wear and tear, and won't be covered anyway. I've lost my riding lawn-mower key and don't know where or how I can get a new key for it. Its well over 10 years old. Please help.

I am not sure what kind it is, but any farm supply, or mower dealer should be able to give you one. I lost mine once, and my mom said she had the key to her mower in her purse, it worked perfectly. Apparently the keys are pretty standard. So see if you can just get your hands on another mower key, there's a good chance it'll work.

check your local classifieds; check with a dealer who takes trade-ins. Check with an on-line site such as Craigslist or the auction sites for completed sales.

I was visiting my local homedepot, lowes,& sears stores. , but they don't have any discounted mowers at this time. They are very expensive. Please tell me if you know of any other stores or websites. Thanks

check out your local John Deere dealers. usually, homedepot's price for john deere products are cheaper than the dealers' price.
