I have a flat tire on my riding lawn mower. It's off the rim about a inch. I'm not sure what I need to do to fix it. It's one of the back tires.

first it probably came off the rim from low air. you need to fix the leak first. you need to remove the tire from the machine,take the tire off the rim with a screw diver(being careful not to poke the tube) this should be easy as it's already coming off.fill the tube with air and hold under water in the sink. patch kits are available at hdwre stores or circle k. after repair or if tube is not flat to start you need to release air and push tire back in place with fingers until it gets tough then use regular screwdriver to finish. fill with air. easier to take to tire repair 4or 5$ good luck.

Repairing the tire of your lawn tractor is a often a simple do-it-yourself job.

My tires are worn badly so I plan to order new ones. How do I get my new ones on the rim? What's the best technique?
I know this is the wrong section. I couldn't get an answer in other sections. I'm trying to get the actual tire on the rim. The back wheels.

hammer a couple big screwdrivers pry off front side most of time after you pop the tire bead on both side you pry off with two scewdrivers soapy water helps... and really a tire shop would do it for 10 to 20 bucks... only hard part will be getting the tires bead to pop down after that you should have a problem

i was mowing my grass with my yardman riding lawn mower and i hit a large hole! now when the other wheel is straight the one i hit the hole with is at about a 45 degree angle! is there an easy solution to this or am i gonna be forced to take it to a repair shop?

It's not the tire or wheel...it's the steering rod that has been bent. Unless you know how to straighten it...I suggest you take it to shop for repair.

Large tractors have tires filled up with a salt solutions so it will not freeze.
Not sure how you could fill them up but if you go to a tractor or a really good tire place around farms they will have a rig to fill the tires up with the solution.

I would give the tractor supply store a try. If not, I bet sears may have some or be able to direct you to a place that may have them.

I would call the Tractor Supply Company first.
