Location of the serial number on a used Scag Lawn Mower?

My husband just bought a used 48" Scag Zero Turn Hydrauluic mower. I am unable to locate the serial number of the actual machiene ( I can find for each part but not as whole) I am wondering if anyone might know where to look as I obviously am not looking in the right place. Thank you for all your help!


Not sure right off hand, but I know it is located on the block somewhere. Maybe hidden or covered up too. Might ask...

    nice machine,not sure about it though. we have scag hydro walk behinds, with pistol grip, and we run the two wheel velkes.that pro v seems kick ass with the lift deck ,for quick in the field adjustments for mrs. robinson who wants it cut 2 and a half, when everyone else is 3″. i’d like to try one.thanks for posting. s. c. nielsen
