I decided to get rid of some oil and i decided to change my lawn mower oil. I had some left and went ahead and poured the whole bottle in there. The oil level is just a bit higher than the "High" market. My engine is burning a little oil. How much can this damage my engine?

Being a little over full shouldn't cause damage.It may result in an increase in oil splash withing the crankcase which may allow some oil to enter the crankcase breathing tube.This oil will be drawn into the carby and may result in some smoke blowing or possibly some spark plug fowling.The engine my seem a little less powerful due to increased drag on the crankshaft caused by a higher than standard oil level.

I have a lawn mower that burn the engine oil so often that I have to refill the engine oil once every two weeks. The oil filter is as clean as new filter. Any ideas/suggestions?

I do not see anything you mentioned. No smoke. Machine kind of choke, filling additional engine oil fix the problem.

How do I clear any debris in the engine. It's a new one month old engine.

The piston rings are probably worn. You can have the engine rebuilt but it is probably cheaper just to buy a new mower. You can try a thicker oil, and see if it helps, but I doubt it.

I put mine up on my sawhorses so I can easily get underneath. I usually change the oil and sharpen the blade at the same time. Be sure you disconnect the spark plug "just in case". Another way would be to buy one of those little siphon pumps that you can stick down the oil fill and suck out the oil into an old can or plastic bottle. The advantage here is that you don't have to lift the mower and you could run it first to be sure everything's flowing nicely. Be sure to properly dispose of the oil. Don't throw it in the landfill.

I have accidentally put engine oil into the gas can and gasoline into the engine oil can. Can any one tell me how to clean them? I pulled the starter handle several times before I realize this problem. Please help. Thank you very much.

You clean both the resevoirs by draining and refilling with the proper fuel or oil whichever goes where. It's not that complicated, just messy. The engine will smoke for a while after you restart with good fresh gas in the tank, but that will go away and shouldn't permanently damage anything.

If my lawn mower engine is a single cylinder 1.88 stroke...does that mean that I mix the oil and gasoline?

Is it a 2 cycle or 4 stroke engine? If there is a place to check the oil, such as a dipstick, you will use separate oil and gas. If not, you will use mixed. The gas cap should say whether it is mixed or straight gas. If it's mixed, the gas cap should have the ratio printed on it. Hope this helps.
