Why won't my Yard Machine Riding Lawn Mower go in nuteral?

You may have internal transmission problems. Trans axles are not exactly what I would call "D-I-Y" friendly. They are full of iddy-biddy needle bearings that are a snap to loose, and are tough to put back correctly! As bad as I hate to say this, call the man who knows how to fix this!

Yard Machine riding lawn mower?

My yard machine blade will not engage (38" Blade cut, 125 HP) it starts up, everything else appears in working order. I think it may be a belt or spring, because when i engage the lever there is no tention, as if a spring or belt is worn or broken. Would this be an easy fix job? I don't have mechanic experence? Does anyone know of any sites that would take me thru step by step on what i need to do to fix it or can anyone tell me how to fix it

125 hp? or 12.5 h.p.
give make and model number, so someone can maybe help ya.

Have a MTD Yard Machine 38" riding lawn mower with flat front tire and no valve stem.?

How do I get air in or do I have to buy anew tire and rim with air all ready in.

Normally those are tubeless tires, but if the tire was being a problem, someone may have put in a tube. If the tubes get low on air and you don't catch it, the tube can spin, pulling the valve stem with it.

The other possiblility is that it does not have a tube, but the valve stem just broke off, and the backside of it is floating around in your tire somewhere.

Check both sides of the rim, you should find either a valve stem, or the hole once occupied by it. If you find just a hole, your going to have to dismount the tire no matter what you do, but I would recommend putting in a tube if there isn't one already in there.

Why won't my riding lawn mower won't start?

I have a Yard Machine riding lawn mower with 14.5 HP, 42" deck, and automatic drive. I don't know much about lawn mowers and this has been in the shop a few times for repairs, it seems every time we get it back something else happens to it, Now it won't start, usually the starter gets jammed or something in the motor is broken but this time it doesn't look like the starter is even getting power. . I just put a second new battery in and tried charging the first one so I assume it is not a battery issue, When the key is turned it just clicks, the starter doesn't move and the clicking is coming from under the seat I think. Before the clicking the first time I attempted to start it , the motor was turning over very slowly, I checked the oil, it was low so I put a little in, then I tried to start it again and that's when the clicking started. now all it will do is click. Anyone know what could be wrong? The grass is well over a foot and the landlord isn't happy.

The click is the starter solenoid. That means it is working. It sounds like the battery is low or you have a bad connection. Remove the cable from the starter and check the voltage at that cable. It should be 12 volts. Did you charge the new battery? They don't all come charged. With a volt meter the batter should have 12.6 volts or so. Less and it won't start the engine.

Riding lawn mowers:machines fun to ride and extremely cool to

Most riding lawn mowers are machines fun to ride and extremely cool to look at. However, they are just a dream for many gardeners who can not afford one of these powerful gardening equipment. A riding mower can be a practical time saving machine for professionals as well as for beginner or amateur landscapers. If you are on of those homeowners, lucky to maintain a large yard, it can be a good idea to invest in a riding mower.

We will explain first the type of mowers on the market and then which one would fit better with your current needs. Basic riding mowers are actually those featuring rear engines. They use to come with small horsepower engines, usually mounted under the operator's seat. These mowers have reasonable power sized cutting blades and fit perfectly into small lawns with less than 1 acre. The next level up is for medium horsepower riding lawn mowers; these mowers use to include their engines at the front; there can fit larger engines due to the space. They have a stronger and faster cutting capacity. Medium riding mowers provide better performance on hilly gardens and are the perfect complement for yards between 1 and 3 acres. Commercial riding lawn mowers are designed for really large yards, including sport fields, they can be extremely expensive for homeowners and won't really provide their best performance in yards no bigger than 3 yards.
