hovering mowers are innexpensive & common in most countries, why arent they in the usa?
One of three reasons. No one has thought of importing them. OR they won't pass EPA emissions standards OR domestic lawnmower companies have been successful in getting legislation passed prohibiting them from being imported.
You need to research it to see which of the three apply. If it is only because no one has thought of importing them, you will get rich.

I had a hover mower for many years and I never had any trouble with it. Even if the grass was quite high it always did the job for me.
Unfortunately the starting handle broke and I had to buy a new mower. I decided to buy a wheel mower but it doesn't seem to work half as well as the hover. The grass is continually getting stuck in the blades causing the mower to stop working which means that every minute I have to stop and pull the grass from the blades.
Does anybody know how I can stop this from happening.
Do you think hover mowers are better?

It is possible your grass is getting to long before you cut it,i cut our grass about two/three times a week with a petrol cylinder mower,don't have any problems.
I have a hover mower at the moment, but its a bother hover & it does my back using it. are petrol mowers less hassle as I`m thinking on buying one?

The noise, smell, fumes, oil and gas you have to deal with. Get a reel mower for about 200 dollars and never buy a drop of petrol again.
