I recently picked up a Honda Harmony II lawnmower for free because the blade holder was bent preventing the blade form mounting properly, causing a lot of noise and vibration. Does anyone know what involved in removing and replacing a blade holder?

It should come off with the blade. Take the two bolts out and the holder should come off. A couple of raps with a hammer will persuade it.

I replaced the transmission shaft in walk behind Honda lawn mower HR215-SXA. Which oil should I use in the gear box?

that would be gear oil you can buy in almost any car parts dealer!..you can buy it in different weights but they have one just for small engines hun!

I am looking in to these two lawnmowers but am not sure which to go with. So here I am to get a second opinion. :)

I have narrowed my choices to a Honda HRR216K5VKA and Toro Personal Pace Walk Power Mower. Which one of these will you recommend? I saw both of these Lawn mowers at the Local Home Depot and they are just 50 dollars apart. The Honda mowers dont show up on the HD website but they have them in stock in my local store. Any comments and suggestions will be appreciated. Thank you all in advance.

the drive does not work anymore and i have been told that the part from the drive/gearbox that connects to the lawnmower engine needs replacing. how do it take it apart. i have try ed undoing all the bolts but i can get at 1 bolt which is stopping me from taking it apart. any one know how to get it of and change

Honda does not give out free information on it's website. Go to www.helminc.com . Then click on For Repair Information and owners manuals. Click Honda Power Equipt. Then under model click Lawn Mower, the click Shop/Service Information. Then Find you model and order. Price for your model is $28.95. This should have information you need.

I purchased a Honda rotary mower HRR216VXA last summer. When mowing, the blade disengages on its own. Wait lists at repair shops for this mower are long, please let me know any tricks to keep my lawn up with the joneses til I can have it fixed properly

Ask around at work or school, somebody has an old lawn mower you can use. Drive around town and look on trash night, or at the village dump. If I see one being thrown out, I grab it, check it out, many still run, I always keep one extra "Junk" mower in case something happens to the "GOOD" one. Mowers are like $99 or less now for a basic model, ask around, chances are someone has one, At work, we find them in the garbage, find out if they are repairable or not, fix them up, store them in the basement. We were going to sell them but, we just give them away to people who need them at work.
