i had a sears lawn mower and wanted to switch the pulleys to make it faster for races....i took the 4 bolts off to take the engine off and tried taking the pully's off to switch them and i put the engine back on now it wont start..no spark.....its a pull start..i took it apart and cleaned everything and still nothing...any suggestions?

Craftsman? I have had nothing but trouble out of those.

How do I change spark plug in this machine? Will such change help easy start with few pulls on the starter cord?

If you have never changed the spark plug on your mower and you've owned it for quite a while that could be the problem.
The spark plug should be located on the front of the engine easily visible to the naked eye so you won't have to search for it. There should be a black rubber wire leading to it and a little rubber plug covering the actual spark plug. Pop off the covering to expose the spark plug( if you have to pull too hard you're tugging at the wrong wire).
Once exposed grab a 13/16 deep 6 point socket, loosen it like you would any other nut, then replace it with a new spark plug and reconnect the wire. Hopefully this works because replacing a spark plug is the least expensive repair to a lawn mower.

i have a riding lawn mower with a Sears 8 hp engine on it...i took the engine off to switch the pulleys around to make it go faster and never messed with any of the electrical stuff ...its a pull start with a on and off switch thats all....5 speed,...and when i had put the engine back on and all together it wouldnt start up...theres no spark..so i switched the plugs still no spark!! any ideas what went wrong? the races are u comeing up soon!
just because its might be flooded doesnt mean it wont spark...i was kinda wondering just now if my spark plug wire needs to be replaced or my magnito went to crap?!! idk

Sounds like maybe you forgot to re-set the proper gap between the magneto pickup & the flywheel. If that's not the problem, then while you've got it apart; check for spark at the magneto. There's not a whole lot of things that can go wrong with that system.

This mower constantly puffed out blue smoke and backfired all the time, which to me indicates a problem. Sears replaced the first engine within the year. This is the 2nd engine with the same problem (while still under warranty of engine replacement) so Sears sent a repair man who told us it was normal for the blue smoke and so did Kohler repair dept via phone conversation.
Recently after using it, I shut it off, dismounted and shortly after it
was up in flames. They informed me that I shut it off improperly
and it would cost us $96.00 just to come out and look at it, OR, I could purchase the extended warranty to cover it. (????It is no longer warranteed) so Sears will not make good on the mower. We paid off $2,000.00 with a remaining balance of $2,500.00 plus interest. Telling me to stop paying will not be the answer I am searching for. Is any one having the same problem with any Kraftsman ride on lawn tractor?

I have the same mower but with the kohler 17hp command 1 engine.Yes my engine at startup puffs the smoke for a second and backfires at shutoff.maybe the repairman left a fuel line loose and at shutoff when it backfired caused the fire.with no leaks there would be no fire.Newer mowers have backfire preventers to eliminate this problem.Im no expert but this is my opinion of your situation.
