it's ether 1/4 inch or 5/16 inch standard fuel line hose you can buy at the auto parts store it's not the high pressure hose just the standard fuel line hose it's sold by the foot

This Is My 1995 Murray Lawn Mower With A 3.5 Horse Power Briggs And Stratton Engine. I Got This Piece Of Crap For 5 Bucks At A Yard Sale!

How do I Know for Sure if it is froze up & How Would I Un-Freeze it, if it is The Engine Is a mtd ,12 hp Murray, I' think it come from walmart 5 or 6 years ago, It has a new Battery, The starter engages but wont turn the fly wheel, I have tried by hand to turn the flywheel and have'nt been able to move it, are there any other ways to try to turn the piston ?

A locked engine is best unlocked ( if possible) by this method.

!. Take and lift open the hood and right on the top exposed engine shaft, near that screen wire, you will see a bolt and nut that directly attaches to the crankshaft. Put a socket wrench and breaker bar on that and try to turn it clockwise, dont turn counter clockwise as this is a right hand nut.

2. Before you get that socket wrench and breaker bar onto that crankshaft nut be sure to remove the spark plug and squirt substantial amounts of WD 40 into that plug hole.
Then apply lots of torque to that socket and breaker bar.

You cant turn the blade, that is a belt driven machine im sure, so the belt would slip, so you need the socket wrench and long breaker handle to put lots of torque onto the crankshaft nut.

This is a 1/2 inch thread on there so fear not of damage to anything there just put lots of torque on it.

My mower is leaking oil at the bottom where the shaft comes out of the engine, just above the blade.

Take the engine off, if the blade adapter is pressed on, really don't have to worry about burning the seal, but heat it up and melt some candle wax around it, and pop it off.... now remove the sump (has bolts all the way around (get a new oil seal, remove the old one good) pull out the oil seal with a flat head, and install a undamaged new one..... but really it depends with what engine manufaturer it is, they are different. Do get a book on it, haynes is good.

I have a Murray riding mower with a Briggs and Stratton engine. Sometimes I get gasoline in the crank case oil. This does not happen every time I use the mower but when it does get in there it is so much I have to change the oil. Help please

The other guys hit the nail on the head! But I would take your unit to your local small engine repair shop and let them handle it, but if you want to do this on your own rebuild the carb just like the other guys said.

You are going to need your engine model number of your unit, this can be found on the engine. Give those numbers to your repair shop and they will set you up with a carb rebuild kit.

I have a 1955 Lawn Mower Murray 11 hp with a 42 in. deck and heavy Duty trans X
The engine runs great it's kinda rusty looking but it mows very good

What would this be worth to a collector or does anyone collect these old things

what do you want for it? I like fixing up old mowers. what state are you in?
