Why the heck can't I get my riding lawn mowers deck drive to disengage?



Follow the lever connection to the point of engagement. Something is broken or bent in between. It should be a simple mechanical problem that will be easily recognizable.

replacing riding lawn mower deck belt?

Help. I removed my deck, replaced the blades and put the deck back on. Unfortunately, I can't get the belt around the pulley in front between the wheels. Is there a trick??? It is an older craftsman riding lawn mower.

Some of the Murray built lawn mowers require you to pull up the steering column to be able to get the drive belt around the engine pulley. In any case go to the Sears site and see if there's a PDF file for intruction manual, It should give you a hint on replacing either belt.

1976 Murray Riding Lawn Mower Deck Parts?

Hey I was wondering if any of you would know where I could find either deck parts, or a used mower deck that would fit on a 1976 or equivilant riding lawn mower?? I need a pully, and a quill set.

How do I mount of an older (90's) craftsman lawn mower deck on a riding lawn mower?

The lawn mower was given to me, then i got the deck later from the same people, but it needed some work, i have repaired the stuff that was wrong with the deck, then went to mount it but the people that gave it to me said they threw away all the bolts and such so im not sure how it goes on the lawn mower and i cant find a picture or any information any place on-line. if you have a picture or any information regarding this please respond.


Also, look for a local lawnmower repair shop to find some of the things you need. They usually have some old stuff in back such as quik-release pins and other things they might even give to you , or at least give you a good deal on.
