Help. I removed my deck, replaced the blades and put the deck back on. Unfortunately, I can't get the belt around the pulley in front between the wheels. Is there a trick??? It is an older craftsman riding lawn mower.

Some of the Murray built lawn mowers require you to pull up the steering column to be able to get the drive belt around the engine pulley. In any case go to the Sears site and see if there's a PDF file for intruction manual, It should give you a hint on replacing either belt.

Ive notice when i was cutting grass and i get to tough grassy spots, my deck belt starts squealing and smoking.... any ideas of what causes that?

It's what happens when you go through some tuff grass it could be you need a new belt but i have had it do it on a new one also. you may just need to raise the deck a little in those spots and then go over it again with a lower deck setting.

I need to find out how to put this deck belt on my mower so i can cut grass. its a troy built pony mower

check the owners manual , disconnect the plug wire for safety.the manual will explain how to lift & support the mower hile working on it etc.or take it to a repair shop.

Look either on the deck itself, or under one of the foot rests for the way its routed.
