Been looking online for home / garden products, but not the standard things I'd find in a garden centre...Any ideas of where I can buy products that are a little bit special?

I was in Whittards of Chelsea coffee supplies a few weeks ago and they had a tea set for gardeners which i thought was awesome! the cups were like plant pots, the spoons were like spades, there was a teapot, sugar bowl and milk jug, all on a tray. They were so different I wished I knew someone to get it for!!

Gifts for lady gardener/landscaper?
I have to get a gift for my brother's girlfriend. She works as a landscaper and spends a lot of time out in the elements and getting her hands dirty. I was thinking of real good quality skin care products to protect from the wrath of the sun, wind, dirt, and stone - do gardeners have something they use? Any gardeners out there have any other ideas for gifts?

I think that is a great idea. I just use any old lotion, but something nice would be a great gift. Also, any kind of gardening gloves are always appreciated or a gift certificate for a manicure.

I have heard that cremes , lotions and $1 store jewelry are good presents (in addition to tips , not to replace tips) But I was wondering about some of the basic needs that are inexpensive for us to buy here in the USA but would be appreciated there. I have a nice space in the suitcase . I am already informed of a need to write a note with descriptions so as to not cause trouble for the receiving person when they exit the complx. All kinds of toiletries that one would use on a daily basic like toothpaste, soaps, antiperspirants etc. Although panties are intimate wear you could try bringing a few (one sizes like boxer types).

How about a gift certificate for you to till his garden next spring, and if he doesn't own a tiller you pay the rent as well. At 51, I'm feeling the ravages of aging, and I would love it if my garden could get tilled.

Sharpen his shovels and hoes for him, since there is nothing like good sharp tools.

How about one of those headbands that you soak, with the substance inside that keeps you cool while working outside?

He has been a Master Gardener almost 20 years. He has every garden book ever written and every garden tool ever made. The gift must be related to gardening because anything else won't be noticed. I live with him & my sister (also a Master Gardener) and I owe them both a lot. It needs to be special, personal & garden related. Oh ya, no plants. Big rule around here, no incoming foliage of any kind. He hasn't the time to care for what he has now. A real jungle around here. A trip to a fancy garden in Pango Pango is out as my budget just maxed out at $200.00. No books, no tools, no plants. Oy? What to get the man who has everything, garden related, $200.00 budget. HELP!

Find a garden showplace within driving distance that is featuring their garden in bloom.Take them both. When you call about the place fot time, etc. Ask if you can bring a nice food basket, cardtable,cloth,wine,etc. Have a nice time walking around and then eating while viewing the beautiful flowers. Ask if there will be someone there who will answer questions or give tours. Your expenses will be gas, fee or donation into the garden, a nice basket lunch-not sandwiches and maybe you can find a special bulb or tool there, that you bro-in-law seems interested in that you can buy.You will be sharing his passion of gardening and giving him a great gift. It is nice to see that someone cares and respects his family! Have fun!
