What color should I paint my resin garden statues?
The Church of Our Lady Queen of Heaven @ the wonderful Dublin International Airport - It's an open church and fully operating, plus the architecture is simply sublime! Autumn 2008! Places of worship!

They've become really weathered. A good washing just isn't enough to revive them. I will be using Rustoleum for plastic, spray paint. I don't want grey, I was thinking taupe or ivory (like a Lenox color). I have fairies, angels, kids and religious statues throughout my gardens and don't want them to be gaudy, just to stand out in an elegant way. Any thoughts?

I used some concrete texture paint for a resin bird bath and it turned out very beautiful. I can't remember the name of the paint, but it is a spray, and comes in different shades. It makes resins and plastics look like concrete, but the shade I selected has tiny red, blue, and yellow (muted colors) flecks in it.

My mom was told that she could pick out a statue for her garden, but she has been unable to find one yet. She wants it to be something that can withstand outdoor conditions, and to be religious (Catholic). Do you have any suggestions?
Be specific...links to statues would be appreciated.

Well I am from northern California and there are many Hispanic catholics around here that do things like that. I see a lot of them have a statue of the Virgin Mary, or some other saint that they identify with alot. I see these sorts of statues all the time at flea markets where you find merchants who make and sell things for their own business. I've also seen this sort of statue at stores that sell lots of landscaping pottery and outdoor things like fountains and huge pots.

Below I have linked a page I found with a good variety of religious statues that don't cost too much.

Does anyone know the name of the artist who carved the religious statues for architect A. Hays Town?

Louisiana architect A.Hays Town used religious niches carved from wood and set against tile, in the gardens of many of his homes. Does anyone know where to find these niches?

Try searching here;

or ask here; Situated adjacent to the original 1967 University Art Museum (a replica of an antebellum plantation home designed by Louisiana architect A. Hays Town), this new museum building serves as a backdrop to the original and defines the edge of a new sculpture garden and plaza. The 33,000-sq.-ft. program includes lobby and public spaces, permanent collection and changing exhibit galleries, museum offices, archival storage and art support spaces. http://www.louisianacontractor.com/proje cts/04_Bestof/judgesAward_design.asp
One of the sites within this answer should be able to help you further with your question.
If it is at all possible to obtain these niches, a Replica, I doubt seriously that you would be able to obtain an Original due to it's historical value, the Univeristy or the Alumni should know.

The Heymann House was built on East St. Mary Boulevard near UL Lafayette for Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Heymann. It has a rich history and is one of Lafayette's most recognized landmarks.
The alumni wing today houses the offices of the staff of the Alumni Assocation and is located behind the Alumni House in the Alumni Courtyard. It contains six offices, a conference room, a lobby and a workroom complete with mailing equipment, fax machines and copier. Yet to be completed is the second story of the wing and is currently used as a storage area for the Association’s archives, event supplies and numerous props.

Can anyone help me with these strange dreams?
The Church of Our Lady Queen of Heaven @ the wonderful Dublin International Airport - It's an open church and fully operating, plus the architecture is simply sublime! Autumn 2008! Places of worship!

First one: I'm in a memorial garden with religious statues everywhere, I'm kneeling before one of Jesus, when i look up and for a few seconds it comes to life, a bit of a facial twitch, then it starts crying. I run to the nearest church and tell the priest, but he doesn't believe me, no one does.
I'm not a particularly religious person.

Second one: A bit "Brother's Grimm". A girl is looking for her necklace in the garden, with her bf or some other male friend. They start digging in the dirt and find a sort of casket with the necklace inside. But they have to swap her heart for the necklace. The boy gets a dagger and digs out her heart, gives it to me and i go and rinse it under a tap. It is literally heart shaped. He puts the girl's heart in the casket, and then places the casket in her chest, and puts the necklace around her neck. Then he has to pierce a long sword through her chest (form armpit to armpit) to keep the casket in place.
I never have dreams like these, and they seem to be symbolic. what do they mean?
Ms Starr, no, neither, I hadn't watched anything, they just came right out of the blue!

wow thats wierd....though at least ur not dreaming of conjoined twins.....so.....every cloud
