Try shopping at local markets. There are several stalls that display stone and wood ornaments. You might get information about bronze.

We've just moved into a house and the previous owners left an old statue of a horse jockey.He had been spray painted metallic red and using paint stripper we've managed to see what the original paint colors were. What would be the best paints to use on him now? And should we seal it as well? If so can anyone recommend a good sealer? Any help would be appreciated!!
the statue is approximately 4 ft tall, he is holding a lamp that is wired for electricity. the original colors under the red paint aren't coming off with the stripper. What we really want to do is restore it as it seems quite old. I think it is concrete as it probably weighs 80-100 lbs.

With all due respect, I would hope some ethnic reference in that type of statue does not exist, such as ones that are created to look like Horse Tie up pieces at the curb.. Garden shops have so many decent pieces, why not do yourself a favor and get something else. Natural for a garden would probably be more suitable and pleasing anyway. Many now come in resin, and you don't state the substance of what you have.

If not, then certainly a high pressure wash would at least get rid of any Loose paint, as well as any environmental residue, IE: Mold etc.

If in fact it's a concrete molded piece then use what is so commonly used SPECIFIC to concrete. If it happens to be resin based, use an exterior epoxy.

I can't imagine why you'd need a sealer. It too would need occasional maintenance. The paints I suggest are designed for wear and modest abuse over the long term.

Admittedly, and again, with no offense, perhaps it is better than a Gnome?

At the very least, certainly you can "restore" the piece, and as a Jockey I suspect a red jacket, white pegged Jodphers, a black cap, gold adornments on a belt, etc. Brushed or sprayed the result might be satisfactory.

so, there i was, walking on the broken path of disasters in the gardens of snow & the weather was brrrr...freezing! its like, -103253576359085283 darjah celcius sumthin. the surroundings were okay. there was nothing. its like, a snowy paradise, but u can only see the black+blue sky & an ocean made of snow. except i can walk on the ocean but i can sink in it too. but i chose to walk on the broken path of disasters intstead. little drops of snow landed on my nose & hair. it made my face tingle. i looked up at the sky, & the thick clouds were thinning. revealing a vast ocean! of nothingness. but it felt like an ocean so its an ocean. ocean.

k now im at the front porch of the snow king's castle. i slided my bonus link card on franco's mouth (for those of you who don't know what a 'franco' is, he's a ticket machine in the form of a mechanical plastic head hanging on the door, & his face can display emotions! mechanically!) & a ticket popped out of franco's mouth. i took the ticket & 5 seconds later the door opened.

i stepped on the checkered tiles of the snow king's floor, took the elevator in the giant grandfather clock, passed the walking giant miniatures, passed the foyer, went into his fridge, walked across the hallway of the 300 rooms, passed the distubing golden cupid statues which were staring into blankness while aiming their frickin arrows forward(they were aligned at both of the sides of a large room & all the statues were aiming at the statues at the opposite side of the room,and im in the middle of them, expecting the statues to shoot anytime), passed the forbidden painting gallery, walked over the tiny village & into the garden. there the snow king was drinking tea in his garden, under the white umbrella trees, in the middle of winter (in his garden).

i said hello, & the snow king said hello. "would you like a cup of tea?" said the snow king.
"thats ok. i want hot chocolate. with marshmellows. 3." the snow king opened his wooden cabinet and pulled out some powdered milk, sugar, cocoa, & a bag of marshmellows & he threw them in the garbage disposal garbage can thing. "they're expired" he said. then he reached into the cabinet & took out a mug of hot chocolate with 3 marshmellows. i got my drink & we sat at a round table while discussing stuff about audio science. then i remembered the reason why im here. u see, we had a robattle yesterday & my medabot won. so he has to give me one of his medabot's parts. i wanted his super awesome mega large marble cannon but he refused to give it to me. i threatened to call childs aid & the snow king said he wants to think about it first. so i gave him a day to think about it & here i am, still not having the dumb marble cannon. he said he won't give it to me. i said fine.

there was only one way to settle this: chess.
the chessboard sat on the fine wooden coffee table the snow king bought from his trip to indonesia. & the game started. i got the black pieces since its the snow kings chessboard. the snow king moved a soldier. i moved the knight(the horse thingy if u don't know) & the snow king made his move. then after 5 moves i smacked his head with the chessboard & took off with my marble cannon. which is mine. now.
fiy i just write stuff i imagine doing during the day because i can't do anything like that during the day. everyday its night. i sleep during the day & spend my day during the night. its because i love the feeling when im alone in the universe & i only acquire that feeling when everyone's asleep & im awake which is during the night. i live in malaysia & its 3.52AM right now. i can't play outside since its dark.

lol i live in malaysia too, so no, you're not the only one awake at this unearthly hour. :P

honestly, i started laughing when i read the blog thing. but in a good way. once i saw the word 'darjah celsius' i knew you were malaysian lol

the blog thing sounds ok, it's...amusing, in its own oddly bizarre way :)
