They've become really weathered. A good washing just isn't enough to revive them. I will be using Rustoleum for plastic, spray paint. I don't want grey, I was thinking taupe or ivory (like a Lenox color). I have fairies, angels, kids and religious statues throughout my gardens and don't want them to be gaudy, just to stand out in an elegant way. Any thoughts?

I used some concrete texture paint for a resin bird bath and it turned out very beautiful. I can't remember the name of the paint, but it is a spray, and comes in different shades. It makes resins and plastics look like concrete, but the shade I selected has tiny red, blue, and yellow (muted colors) flecks in it.

A thoughtful gift for someone who loves fairies

This is a strange thing but we live on the edge of a national forest in WA. We have put lots of garden trolls, elf's, gnomes, and fairy statues around our land. Every time we put out a fairy it gets mugged, tore up, or broken. Now we have never had this happen to the other statues, ever ones like frogs, squirrels, and rabbits. Any ideas as to what this is all about. Is it possible that some animals don't like them, or even that animals think that the fairies their real food. These are in places where only we go, not accessible to other people.

you could do one of 2 things.........

You could do some sort of warding/hallowing on the space to keep any negative spirits/entities away.

Got to Bass Pro/Cabelas.com and search "trail cams", or even Wal-Mart and buy yourself a trail camera, the ones hunters use to take pictures of game in the areas we are going to be hunting, some flash, others dont. It is probably the only real way shy of hiding in the bushes yourself to see what is really happening to the statues.

I recently bought a fairy statue for my garden and accidentally broke it. Inside were two smaller statues. Is this some kind of fairy lore?

It's a sign from the garden gods. Be more gentle, like with a baby.

My name is kristiana and i beleive in fairys.I have beleived for 4 years. I have a fairy garden, And i collect the fairy statues and figurines, I have had glimpses of what i htink are fairys but i cant say they where.Arre any of you intrested in the or kow how i can become better friends with them or taljk to them?

I love fairies. I've collected them for years. I have lots of little figurines all over the place. Haven't seen one yet, but still waiting. I have heard that if you're going to toss water outside, that you should yell a warning first, just in case they're in the area.
