I have a patio set that I would like to repaint a different color. The table is easy but the chairs have those vinyl strips across them to support the chair cushions. Can I remove and replace them or do I just have to paint over them and hope for the best?

Use Krylon spray paint and it will work OK

We are thinking of buying a patio set, but the chairs all seem to be covered in this material these days, and as one of us is very large, we don't want to buy it to find they tear easy, so I'd appreciate it if anyone can tell me what weight it will hold comfortably, and if anyone has any chairs like this, are they tough? All answers will be gratefully accepted.

Hello,

I got some patio chairs that were on display at the store.
They are iron with black paint.
They have some serious scrapes on them, and the paint is scratched off in some spots.

I'm assuming spray painting these chairs would be the best means of painting.

Should I use a primer?
Any recommendations or tricks when choosing a type of paint?

It will be in rainy weather often.

just want to add color and interest to old white plastic patio chairs...paint/pretty cushions, etc. has anyone done this and what were the results? home colors are neutral beiges and greens with some burgundy/pink accents. house is red brick. patio is concrete. thanks.... also want to put an outdoor rug underneath to define the space. what colors would work?

they make spray paint for plastic now, but i'm not sure what colors are available. if possible i would go with a deep green. that compliments burgundy, beige, brick, etc. if the paint does not come in that color, beige or off white would be better than stark white.

if you can go with the dark green, nice beige seat cushions would be nice. if you have to do the opposite, beige paint, buy green seat cushions as an accent color.
