What sort of glue would you use on outdoor wooden furniture

I use Titebond II on everything, it's both water proof an does not expand like Gorilla glue. I have been in the business for 47 years.

I have just painted some wooden outdoor furniture with exterior paint I would like to know if I can apply a coat of varnish or polyurethane or some clear coating as the last layer I live in Hawaii and feel a top coat would be good.

You haven't addressed what type of wood you have! Teak, cedar, red wood, wicker?
Wood is a living thing, even after processing, it needs to breathe!
Personally, just a coating of oil based primer & oil based paint should do it!

Try a product called super strength, and simply green. You can purchase these kinds of products at Home Depot or a store of this nature. Also those dollar general stores, and family dollar have good cleaning products at cheap prices, and this stuff has worked for me. Spray, and wipe. You may have to spray, and wipe a couple of times. Bleach with pine sol works also depending on what kind of wood you have. Be careful some cleaner's will take the paint off. Do a spot check first. Good Luck

first sand and refinish it then seal it with thompsons water seal for decks my furniture is 5 years old and looks brand new i keep it out on an uncovered deck year round in tennessee
