I'm setting up a G scale garden train and I'm concerned about just leaving the track to the elements. I don't want to pull it up but I don't want to just leave it to the rain either. Any experienced train enthusiasts have any solutions for this or am I just being too detailed. The track I'll be using will be brass.
There are forums and clubs out there specifically for garden trains. I think they would be able to help you.

I am replacing some old 12v outdoor garden lights for a friend's walkway. They look cheap
and are falling apart after 5-years. I want to replace them with a set of durable ones that look nice. I am avoiding solar, because they are far too dim and I already have the 12v wiring in place.
I would appreciate any recommendations.
Thanks
Years ago I had Toro brand and they worked great, then I switched to solar, and I have been through sets almost once a year.
I am going back to Toro and not using solar.
Solar have some nice designs, but do not last long. It seems that the solar panel always turn cloudy and then it's trash.
Toro is my suggestion. They can be found at any local home improvement and most stores like, Target, Walmart, etc.

i don't want to leave the water running and i don't want electrical wires running from the house to my garden. what i need is a small pump that will be able to provide water for 15 plants over the course of a month without running out of juice. i have 15 plants in my herb garden and when i go to california this summer they are going to have to be on gods good grace because i won't be able to be there for them.
i can get my hands on a big plastic jug that probably stands 3.5 feet off the ground. its probably able to hold 50 or so gallons of water.
i would like to use this as my reservoir while im gone. i just need to know if there is a pump out there within the $50-$100 dollar range that will do the trick???
thanks.
You can put a string (showlace type) from the jug and down into the ground where the plants are. It works like a slow syphen.
I like him but his girlfriend Naomi is a little possessive, she wont let him sleep with anyone but her.
that's small potatoes, put his entire house up on ebay, that way he won't have a yard, therefore won't have a place or use for the yard stuff anyway
There are eight separate decks. The job is so big I'm looking for a way to do it more quickly. There are several hundred ballusters. If I use a garden-type sprayer I'm not sure I'll have the accuracy I need to do it quickly.
If you haven't used a spray gun with an air compressor before to be quite honest you'll spend an entire day practicing until you get it right. There are so many things to worry about, such as: the right amount of air pressure and getting used to the gun itself. If you would rather not waste your time on this kind of stuff, just go to Home Depot and buy an inexpensive Wagner hvlp. Its an electrical plug in. You add your outside sealer and thin it down and your set. The unit is under $90 bucks and is well worth it, even if you just use it this once. They have a "home edition" and a "pro edition" The "home edition" will do the job!! Time=Money
Remember to properly clean the gun when finished though, in case you do decide to use it again! Good luck
