I recently moved into my first house and the previous owner had lots of high maintenance vegetation. I'd like to spend time cultiuvating a produce garden and not really worrying about flowers etc but I would like some things to spruce up the yard. What are some examples of plants that need little to no care once placed in the ground that can liven up my yard a bit?

-Also, I've been told that plants native to my area are easier so just for your information: I'm in Southeast Tennessee.

I need help with decorating not pews but chairs. I can't hang anything from them. It would have to be tied to the chair. They are white folding chairs. Our wedding is outdoors in a garden at a bed and breakfast. The theme is a elegant romance. Very formal. Any ideas will help and pics! Thanks!

if it's in a garden, you're in luck .it's elegant and you don't need much decoration. i would see about renting some chair cushions, maybe. also definitely get a bow of sorts for them, to tie to the back. you can use tulle or other fabric in your wedding colors. simple yet formal :)

It will be outside in the evening & the reception will be at night. I don't really have a theme as of right now nor do I have any colors picked out. I want lots of lighting & I want glittery, sparkly & shiny decor. I was thinking either an evening garden them or a "cool" (as in temperature) theme with cool colors like ice blue, white, silver, etc.

Any ideas for decoration, colors, themes, flowers, etc. would be greatly appreciated!

if you go to save-on-crafts.com they have an how to for crystalized branches. if you do those and have them as your centerpieces... they will look great with those mini led lights that are battery operated, and you can use votive candles on the table to catch more sparkle.
you can put the branches in large vases and fill the base with flat marbles and rocks covered in glitter (just use craft glue and roll them in glitter)

i like your idea of "cool" you can do a cool romance theme... with your colors.

i would get organza bags in shades of blue and fill them with silver wrapped kisses.
try shopping ebay (seller id ideabus) for the lowest prices on organza bags.

oh depending on when you wedding is.. ie is it 09?
you can pick up christmas garland in silver and blue shades to swag on your branches and to swag on tables...
