i haven't heard of them being produced commercially, but at school we used to cut open tennis balls and insert the legs of chairs into them so they wouldn't scratch up the floor. it should work for this, too. they have different colored tennis balls, or even ones with smiley faces on them now.

Many opinions seem to exist. What are the pros and cons of:
1. just teak oil only every 6 months
2. going for marine grade teak oil (is this better?)
3. using a natural decking oil in steak of teak oil for a longer lasting result
3. using a combination stain and varnish
Teak wood doesn't need to have anything done to it. In my experience it's better to leave it alone. It weathers beautifully.
Looking to buy rustic, white cedar log furniture for an outdoor deck. Looked at some at a local manufacturer and sat right in some sap. The chair had been treated with Sikkens, is it normal for white cedar furniture (aged or new) to produce sap? How long or often? Any tips on safeguarding? Thanks.
If it truely cedar, especially white cedar, you will never have any sap come out of it, a lot of manufacturers are building the log furniture with pine(lots of sap) to cheapen the expenses of building the log furniture, I know of a great site , its www.simply-cedar.com they build it and ship free of charge
