how can i keep a neighborhood cat away from my lawn & garden?
Iris

i have a neighbor that doesn't look after their pets and one of the cats likes to come into our yard. i love animals and that's fine. but what i don't love is the fact that the cat leaves piles of poop on my lawn that i have to clean up. also, i haven't directly caught him, but could even possibly be urinating on my vegetable garden. what can i do that won't poison my vegetables or the cat but will give him the message that my yard isn't a rest stop?

I've tried all the suggestions in the newspaper and nothing works. The cats come and go as they please. The suggestions were Cayenne Pepper concoctions, dog or wolf pee, humane traps.

What types of magic tricks would you reccommend for a Garden/ Lawn Party?

I do magic often and sometimes for events. I was recently asked if I would be able to entertain at a lawn/ garden party. I was wondering what kind of magic I should do for this event. Difficulty is not an issue, but the demonstrations can't be too geared for stage performances, becasue this has to be fairly casual and impromptu. But, however, they can't be too simple, like easy coin and card magic. They have to impress people, not prove I can go to Chapters and perform tricks from a $5.99 book. Any suggestions or ideas?

Onan no longer makes the flat head, valve in block engine but if you take your engine model and serial numbers to your John Deere dealer they may be able to help. Also, Onan is owned by Cummins Engines so that may be another avenue.

How do you repel rabbits from your lawn/garden?

Those rabbits keep coming into my garden and keep nibbling on my plants. Just wanting some help.

Go to your local hardware store and pick up some Liquid Fence that is the name. Spray around where you dont want them. I had luck with that for a while and they came back...Then I went back to the same store and got Milorgonite fertilizer wich is proccesed human waste. Punt this on your lawn. Its all natural and doesnt smell nasty after its down. The human smell drives them away. Mine havent came back yet.....YET...darn rabbits

Can i transfer a yukka plant that has always been indoors in a pot to the lawn garden to live outside forever.

I am looking at a yukka on ebay which has always been inside and i would like to plant it in my lawn. Is this possible or are there indoor and outdoor type yukkas?

It all depends on your environment-are their heavy frosts in your area, does it get really cold their?,you can move it, just make sure that it is not a shock for the plant first.
Move it to a sheltered spot outdoors for a month or so then plant it out, this is what they call hardening off.

  • Lawn and Garden article - Growing Succulent Houseplants

The term, succulent, is not any sort of official or scientific term. It is a loose description of plants from any genus whose leaves are thick and fleshy for storing water. Commonly known ones include Aloe, Agave, Sanseveria (Mother-in-law’s Tongue), Sempervivum (Hens and Chicks), Bromeliads (more than a genus), Kalanchoe, Crassula and Sedum. Individual kinds of plants have more specific and detailed requirements, but in general, neither over-water nor let them dry out completely. Overwatering can cause the leaves to swell and cells to burst, or the roots to rot. On the other hand, any plant will die when there is no moisture at all in the soil. So the best plan is to let the soil dry until...
