I have a piece of Italian furniture built in the 1800's and want to sell it so I need to see a picture of it to know that's what I have. Thank you.

It will be practically impossible for me to guess what does your piece of furniture looks like and be able to tell you the value/worth of it. However there are few things you can do to find out what is it worth.

You can take to an appraiser at an Antique shop, or you can take a photo to them. I would suggest that you see as many as possible. It would be important to them to know what is the condition of the furniture. Has it been broken, refurbished, repainted, are there any scratches, chips, etc. Every blemish will diminish the value of the piece.

I am not sure where do you live but I would go to a large city and find out on Google maps the addresses for different Antique stores that do appraisal and visit them.

If you have a photograph of the furniture I would try and post it to this web site (for security purposes do not post your correct zip code and full name). That way you will be able to get some opinions of what do you have in your possession.

as opposed to other types? American, Chinese, Spanish etc.

I want to know if there is a gut reaction to like italian leather furniture over others.

Typically most things the Italians make or produce are of quality nature. Their shoes are of the finest made in the world, their cars (not the Fiat ) are top drawer, their commercial equipment ( coffee makers etc.) first class, and their leather goods be it furniture or whatever are looked upon as quality products. No I am not Italian.

we're moving into a new house we just bought..we're planning on painting the room before moving our things in..because its pretty darn heavy to move these things around.

You are looking for an import company that you can order product to sell in the US right?

Question 1- I don't know where to look up how many import companies there are.

Question 2 - Look thru your sundays' news paper ads for Walmart, Shopko, Target, Kmart that type of furniture...

Question 3 - I don't understand your question.

Questions 4 - Shipping a 40' full container of product from China runs about 4,500 a 20' full container of product from China runs about 3500. This would be the estimated freight cost landed (delivered to warehouse, duty paid, port charges paid) to central USA ( for example Chicago)
