I got a great deal on patio furniture at Target a while back ... They were having a huge annual or semi-annual patio/garden sale and I saved about $50.

We saw a gazebo there that we like and I was wondering if anyone knows when they have that big patio /garden sale? I can't remember when it was. Is it coming up by any chance?

I have only seen it go on sale at the end of the summer. (Like after Labor day.)

I was thinking I have all the tools to start making cedar outdoor furniture like adirondack chairs, benches, love-seats, end tables, planter boxes, and gardening workstation tables. Does anyone think that these items would sale if I started advertising locally and bringing my products to farmers markets to start with and will this type of product sale in the winter time or mostly in the summer when outdoor living in. I live in northern California so the winters arn't all that bad.

cedar is a natural insect repellent and is usually expensive to purchase so maybe, they would sell but maybe incorporate some cheaper wood products of equal quality...good luck

I nam moving out of state and I am having a moving sale. Most yard sale and garage sale shoppers are looking for next to nothing prices. Should I be charging more for moving sale items? I have electronics, furniture, garden and power tools etc...

Moving sales items usually cost more, but that doesn't mean you are going to get any more for the items. Most people have a certain amount they are willing to spend when they go to Garage/Yard Sales. Sometimes if it is inside, I won't even go becuz I know High prices, Just like estate sales are usually much too high, so I pass them up and go to the open Garage Sales. Usually, the people going to the sales are not really in desperate need of the items, and for some it is just a hobby, so don't expect more money. Yard Sailors are looking for a SALE and no matter what you do, if the price is too high be willing to negotiate. Remember, its not what you paid for it that's important. Your moving and can't take it with you so get what you can for it and count your losses. Outside Sales do better, than the heavy stuff leave inside,but put up a sign "More Inside". PS> If you have a dog, do everyone a favor and put him up. The worst thing about garage sales is the family dog sniffing u up. Good Luck with the Sale.

I noticed in the paper that Garden Ridge has microfiber sofas on sale and I would love to check them out. However, the closest store to me is over 2 hours away, and then comes the trouble of hauling a trailer in case of actually buying the furniture and then the traffic is unbelievable in that area.

So, my question is.....does anyone know if these sofas are worth the trouble or are they junk?

Garden Ridge is a reputible retailer, however their furniture has always been very low end and inexpensively made. I would look closer to home, even for a few bucks more, just incase you have a problem later...and with the cost of gas!

Hi, i live in chicago and although it is cold, i am planning ahead for the spring/summer.
is now a good time to start buying grills, plants, pation furniture, and other various things used in a backyard.
i was thinknig that once the sales for spring stuff begins then prices would drop since more people are buying?
any suggestions?

Yes, this is a very good time to buy garden accessories. It is the slow season for garden centers so you should be able to find some good deals.
