Make sure that you mention you full name and daytime phone number in the email, even if you don't want it to appear in the ad.

Instead of sending them an email, you can also choose to contact Gulf News Classifieds at their toll-free no. 800 4125, and dictate your classified ad to them on phone.

2) You can also place the items in a UAE-based online auction site, www.souq.com . The listing is free, and you can keep the auction open for 2 weeks at a time. Make sure to include a picture of the item. There are various payment collection options, including cash, card, or even C.O.D. through courier.

Look for "used furniture stores" in the yellow pages. And, people don't sell their clothes to thrift stores. They donate them.
