What gardening/lawn product would work best?
IMG_7620

Ny bf's backyard is mostly a patio. with a small shed & a little pond. We are planning to go back there and fix it up but, weeds and grass are between the "spaces" on the deck. He's afraid if we clean it all up it will just all grow back, but I'm sure there is some kind of spray or something we could place out there to prevent that. Any suggestions?

if you are spraying in the deck round up will work and its leaf ingested and won't make the soil infertile. if you want to spray anything on the lawn, any weed b gone concentrate will work. Don't by the stuff that is pre mixed because it is too diluted. Get the stuff that you have to mix yourself and put a little extra in, it won't kill the grass but will take care of the weeds.

how can i keep a neighborhood cat away from my lawn & garden?
Nature^Grass_2

i have a neighbor that doesn't look after their pets and one of the cats likes to come into our yard. i love animals and that's fine. but what i don't love is the fact that the cat leaves piles of poop on my lawn that i have to clean up. also, i haven't directly caught him, but could even possibly be urinating on my vegetable garden. what can i do that won't poison my vegetables or the cat but will give him the message that my yard isn't a rest stop?

I've tried all the suggestions in the newspaper and nothing works. The cats come and go as they please. The suggestions were Cayenne Pepper concoctions, dog or wolf pee, humane traps.

What types of magic tricks would you reccommend for a Garden/ Lawn Party?
11-09-22 Round Lawn (5)

I do magic often and sometimes for events. I was recently asked if I would be able to entertain at a lawn/ garden party. I was wondering what kind of magic I should do for this event. Difficulty is not an issue, but the demonstrations can't be too geared for stage performances, becasue this has to be fairly casual and impromptu. But, however, they can't be too simple, like easy coin and card magic. They have to impress people, not prove I can go to Chapters and perform tricks from a $5.99 book. Any suggestions or ideas?

does anyone know where i could find some parts for a johndeere ownen 420 lawn and garden tractor.?

we are looking for parts for our lawn/garden tractor. we are specificly looking for a camshaft. but we will need more parts anyway. if you have any ideas as to where we could get the parts that would be cool. also just so that you know, we already tried ebay.

Onan no longer makes the flat head, valve in block engine but if you take your engine model and serial numbers to your John Deere dealer they may be able to help. Also, Onan is owned by Cummins Engines so that may be another avenue.

  • Replacing Some Suburban Front Lawn - Vegetable Gardener

I was a little concerned about how the neighbors would take it when I told them I was planning on extending my garden to the front yard by removing *gasp* part of the lawn. It's no secret that suburbia is known for it's cookie-cutter foundation plantings and grand expansions of perfectly coiffed grass. Although, I have seen some fabulous yard make-overs where they've used plants that have made me almost slam into the car in front of me. But, I digress. My answer would be that I have a young child and a grand-daughter that love running across soft grass kicking balls and spreading out picnics. I loved feeling the grass between my bare toes as a kid (still do). Call me nostalgic. But to be honest, I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with having a lawn - extra water or not - if you're actually using it. But when I took a good look at our situation, we certainly aren't using all of the grass we have planted in our yards. When a suburban gardener realizes that they're about to...
